Description
The new Caboose Ultralight Graphite is the most lightweight, compact and efficient double stroller. Designed for two children of different ages, it is preferred by parents for its practicality. With new upgraded features and an even lighter frame, the Caboose Ultralight Graphite continues to empower older children by giving them a choice to stand or sit while strolling. The Caboose Ultralight's design has been improved with a new graphite-colored aluminum frame and it is 10% lighter than the previous Ultralight model. At 22 lbs fully configured, it is lighter than some single strollers. A new rear canopy attachment provides shade for the child sitting in the back. The new parent organizer also holds 2 beverages and has a convenient zippered pocket for keys, phone or wallet. A universal infant car seat adapter is included and fits most car seats on the market. This handy accessory converts the stroller into a travel system, allowing the older child to stand on the rear stand-on platform. The storage basket is ample enough for a diaper bag. Sealed ball bearing wheels provide superb maneuverability and the 4-wheel suspension make for a smooth ride. The linked rear parking brake adds extra security when the stroller is parked. In addition, the Caboose Ultralight has the most compact fold for a double stroller. If your children are within 2 years of each other, you may consider the optional Caboose Rear Seat, which converts the rear bench seat into a front-facing, full-size, reclining seat. This accessory is sold separately and it folds up with the stroller for convenience. It's also easy to install or uninstall. The Caboose Ultralight Graphite is a versatile tandem stroller that offers the size, weight and maneuverability of a single stroller without compromising features.

I've been using this walking around the very hilly streets of Arlington, taken on the metro and walking around D.C. It's been great overall and I still think it's better than the side by side double because it doesn't take up wide space.Pros:lightweightFolds/unfolds super easySeats 2 young kids (our very tall 4.5 year old can even sit in the front although his legs definitely hang over, he likes to turn on his side and lay back anyway so he folds his legs up on the foot rest). When kids aren't on the back seat, you can put bags or whatever on that seat to accommodate more storage. The cup holders are great along with the extra little storage spaces on the handle part, I can fit my big water cup, toddler metal water bottle, baby's sippy cup, a couple toys, keys, and more all in the compartments on the handle bar storage. It's a stretchy material w/ velcro to hold it all together and it works great. Better than I expected. This version is well worth the difference from the base model, the canopy shade attached is a great bonus as well.Cons:Not a lot of room for storage space below and we bought a small cutting board to put in the basket to keep the shape as to not tear it like what's happened in other reviews. The back seat isn't very comfortable for long, but it works for us since our toddler likes to get up often anyway.Hard to push 1 handed while fully loaded due to the positioning of the posts for the handles. It folds up long so we have to keep 1 seat down in the back of our new Yukon for space or we could put it across sideways but it'll take up the whole length. Not a big con for us, also it's still smaller than most doubles I think. The wheels are also starting to get a bit wobbly, started making a squeeking sound every once in a while and the storage is kind of hard to get into and impossible if there's a kid on the back seat unless you're able to pull something small out from under the kid's legs.Overall it's decent, wish there was a company that could make this same concept with more sturdy wheels like a hybrid jogger and it could be slightly taller for better storage accessibility and maybe folds in thirds. I think if you're looking at double strollers really super easy folding isn't something I'm too concerned with anymore. Chances are you're going to load up kids into vehicle before putting it away anyway... you have to if you utilize the storage under it at all anyway.Summary: We are so happy with our Joovy stroller! The Joovy was absolutely perfect for our family’s travel needs and we are more than thrilled with the purchase. Rather than buying two separate umbrella strollers, the Joovy stroller & additional caboose rear seat met all our expectations. Great value and quality product! Some points regarding our family’s travel stroller needs:1. We have a 2 1/2 year old and an 8 month old and were traveling internationally to Europe.2. Our toddler prefers to stand on the back board of our existing stroller. While she has a seat, she rarely uses it, only on outings where we know we’ll be gone most of the day, and she’ll need her seat for a nap.3. For our travel plans, we decided not to bring our stroller b/c it’s heavy duty, and while we love it, especially the large under-basket, our primary concern was weight and size since we weren’t renting a car and would be relying on public transportation/stroller accessibility. Our current stroller requires us to remove a seat in order to collapse it and we thought it might be too cumbersome to do on public transportation.4. I researched possible stroller rentals at our destination wthout success so I began looking for various lightweight umbrella stroller options.5. Two separate umbrella strollers didn’t make sense for our family’s needs and the Joovy was a great solution for us.We’ve returned from our international trip using the Joovy stroller. Some key notes and highlights (a few photos included):1. Gate check: We used this bag for gate check: https://www.amazon.com/Seat-Travel-Backpack-Gate-Check/dp/B0773XZJGZ?ref_=bl_dp_s_web_13709051011.Please note there was still a small gap at the top when we tied it, but we were happy we found one somewhat tall enough to handle the height of the Joovy stroller. It was raining at our destination and the stroller was a little damp, but not soaked, and wasn’t a huge issue as it dried fairly quickly. Had we not had a cover, it would have been a different story.2. Weight: The Joovy is 22 lbs (our everyday stroller is about 30-35 lbs). At one of the airport security checks, they asked us to collapse the stroller and lift it onto the surveillance belt. It was easy enough to collapse with both seats attached and lift onto the belt. In addition, we took a few trams that required us to lift the stroller up a few steps with a narrow width. Since the Joovy is lighter than what we're accustomed to and narrow, it was easy to do so with two people.3. Wheels: The Joovy stroller handled the cobblestone streets very well.4. Our 8 month old rode in the front seat. We purchased the Joovy Caboose Rear Seat as the secondary seat for our toddler when she was ready to nap.5. Joovy Caboose rear seat somewhat reclines, which was perfect for our toddler. It also rests on top of the back board seat, which gives additional support.6. Back board seat: When the Joovy Caboose rear seat isn't attached, our toddler was also able to sit on the back board seat, which is rear facing (she is back to back with the front seat).7. Stand-up board: We unbuttoned the top portion of the Joovy Caboose rear seat and our toddler was able to stand and use the back step-up board, and hold onto the side lower bars without us having to remove the entire rear seat. If both seats are fully attached, the standup board isn’t reasonably accessible unless you unbutton the top of the rear seat.8. Rain shield: We purchased the Joovy rain cover as rain was forecasted during our travels. We aired it out 2 weeks prior to our trip so the plastic smell wouldn’t be as strong. Please Note: When the Joovy caboose rear seat is fully reclined, the rain shield will close, but we noticed that it may not fully cover the feet of the little one sitting in the front. There were times were we also didn't snap up the back and both ways weren't a huge issue for us.9. Under carriage basket: We kept the plastic rain shield in the basket the entire time, and were able to fit other small items, such as blankets, and other small purchases made along the way. Please Note: We were not able to store our diaper bag (backpack) in the under carriage as it was too big.10. Handlebar Organizer: Since we purchased the Joovy Caboose Ultralight Graphite Stroller, the handlebar organizer was automatically included. Our toddler’s water bottle fit perfectly, as well as cell phones in the middle pocket. We also used the shield that zips to the canopy and provides a little coverage for the Joovy caboose rear seat.11. Stroller canopy: We love that the canopy is adjustable. We could lower it to protect the 8 month old when needed or fold it up and it still allowed our toddler to peep through when standing on the backboard.Overall: The Joovy Caboose Ultralight Graphite Stroller was a great option for our family b/c of its versatility when traveling. As mentioned above, our everyday stroller is heavier and the under carriage holds much more. As our day-to-day involves a lot of city walking, we tend to rely on packing up a lot in the stroller basket. However, we found great value in the Joovy stroller system and are very happy with its performance and durability thus far. This stroller is really great! My four-year-old fits sitting down and standing up while I’m able to put my newborn with his car seat into the stroller at the same time. It’s super easy to fold and open. Plus it’s very compact for a double stroller. It folds like a single! It is a little heavy but I don’t mind since I’m only lifting it to put into the trunk. But I believe it’s still just as heavy as it’s competitors. So the reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the storage on the bottom is hard to access and it’s small. My small diaper bag won’t fit but I just use a mommy hook and put smaller items in the basket if need be. The other issue is an infant car seat doesn’t just snap into the attachment you have to use the straps it comes with and buckle the car seat into the stroller which is kind of annoying. I personally don’t do it anymore because I find that the car seat fits snugly into the stroller so in my opinion it doesn’t really need the buckles. Overall it’s a great stroller for the price.Lifesaver.Me encanta. Love: weight, easy to fold, easy universal car seat adapter, wheels, brake, handle heightCould be improved: not much storage space (very shallow), cup holder thing for mom/dad can basically hold a mask and a tightly sealed water bottleI love this stroller overall. I have a diaper bag backpack that I have to wear but that’s really my only complaint! Some reviews mentioned there not being a ton of space for second child - my daughter is almost 3 and very tall. I can always adjust the car seat space to make room for her. If the baby were in the regular seat and it was fully reclines then there would be standing room only. Mindestens weitere 4 cm an Breite wären notwendig gewesen.
