We have been in the market for a TV stand since we moved into our new house about a year ago. We also have a 10 month old who seems to want to get into everything these days. With that in mind we had some high priority items on our list for a tv stand. Most notably, stable, high enough he can’t reach stuff, and a fireplace that doesn’t get to awful hot that he would burn himself. This stand checked all those boxes and then some! The stand arrived almost a week before it was listed for delivery on Amazon. The fedex guy dropped it off in two boxes the stand and the fireplace. The stand box was very heavy and the box was damaged at the top and in the middle near the top of the box. Thankfully only on the outside and no pieces were damaged. We ordered the stone gray color which is a nice contrast to our sky blue living room walls. The wife and I put baby in his crib for a nap, brewed a cup of coffee and started assembling. We read the reviews and a lot of them mentioned it was hard to follow the instructions, ie. no words.. just pictures. We had done many of these projects before and we knew to be careful with the assembly. All and all it took us just over 2 hours to assemble. The instructions say it takes about 1.5 hours. You know, the usual bumper, caster here and there.. pretty typical for assembling these days.Unfortunately for us, when placing the legs on and top shelf, we made the huge mistake of assembling it on carpet and with the legs upside down -the top on the ground. You know legs side up. This meant when we went to place it against the wall it became unstable on one leg and shook like one of those school lunch tables the unlucky kids got in high school. We would had to have unscrewed the top, and shelves and untighten and tighten everything back up to force the stand not to wobble. It would have been a nightmare.Lucky for us, I had some home improvement stuff laying around the house where I could stable the legs and mount it to the wall. This made the shelf so much more stable. It practically sticks to the wall like a museum exhibit now. If you have a similar problem with unstable legs I highly recommend getting the wobble wedge shims:https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00LVQGGKA?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_titleAnd these furniture anchors:https://www.amazon.com/Furniture-Anchors-Upgraded-Proofing-Earthquake/dp/B097DQFRYL/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=1HRGW956AE7TV&keywords=dresser+wall+mount+child+proof&qid=1665544657&qu=eyJxc2MiOiIyLjIxIiwicXNhIjoiMi4yNiIsInFzcCI6IjEuNTkifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=child+proof+mount%2Caps%2C170&sr=8-3Using the shim to balance the stand and then mounting it saved us the great trouble of taking everything apart and putting it back together to get a stable product. In fact, I was surprised at how much more stable it felt.Dodged a bullet there… anyway, once we set everything up and plugged it in we were very pleased with how cozy and warm it made us feel. The fireplace adds such a nice touch. After using the fireplace just once, it seemed to take a minute to warm up but got super warm after a bit of running. At one point we got up to go to the kitchen and the fireplace had turned itself off due to being too hot. This was a nice touch. If it gets too hot the unit just turns itself off. Nice safety feature. All in all, we are very pleased with the stand and fireplace. It’s cozy and nice and (after some ninjanuity-rigging) is very stable. Some others have commented it’s difficult to put together cause the instructions are hard to follow. I would agree with this. You definitely have to be careful and follow the instructions exactly-or you’ll end up like us with a wobbly corner. But all and all it checked all the boxes for us. Just be careful when assembling and enjoy the heck out of it until that fireplace stops working!!!I purchased this product and it came without the insert! I was worried and contacted them immediately. They assured me it was on its way and arrived later that day, back to 5 stars. So I do believe the products are shopped separately because you can purchase them as a whole or separately. So that worked out nicely. I would love to say that I snapped my fingers and putting it together was easy. However, it was something that took a little time and determination. I actually enjoyed it myself until I finally took the last piece out of the box to find it crack :( (let's just say I was sad, down to 3 stars). I figured this might have been a mailing issue since it is a 100-pound box in transit. However once again the wonderful company came to the rescue and for me, they offered a good deal that made me go back to being a 5-star product, and now we are enjoying our new fake family fireplace in the evenings!Thank you for the beautiful piece! My family will enjoy for years to come!I couldn't have chosen a better entertainment center with a fireplace. The price was incredible compared to others I looked at, and I searched for hours before finally choosing this one.Even though it says you need two people to assemble, it's possible with just one as I did it by myself. You just need patience and flexibility lol. It took a good 2 hours for me to assemble on my own but the instructions were great. ?The doors are perfectly centered, the fireplace works wonderful, although it's not winter yet so I won't know how truly well it works until it's cold.I have a 55in tv on top.The apartment we moved into has baseboard heaters and I wasn't comfortable woth that and read that they can be very expensive to run. Plus, you can't put anything in front of them amd this was the only area that I could but and entertainment center so I killed two birds with one stone by getting both and entertainment center and a heat source.I think this will work well since our whole apartment is only 450sq ft and all I need it to heat is the loving room with is about 250 Sq ft.We also enjoy just watching the flames without the heat. ? ❤I am over the moon with my purchase!!I love it and the color i got. I got the stone gray, but let me tell you, putting it together was a chore. It took me a few hours by myself. The directions are horrible. It is a lot of you have to take your time see what pieces you need and patience. It isn't rocket science, but it can have some confusing moments especially figuring out if a panel is suppose to face this way or that way to be correctly aligned with the next set or level you will build. And a lot is just figure it out as you go. I used a drill the whole time, you gotta be careful not to just go power hungry when securing those because you are suppose to use a screw driver, but i wasn't going to go hunting for one so i used what i needed to. The fire place placing had a little offset when putting that in, but you can barely tell unless you are looking closely and you know what im looking for or what im talking about.Directions are pictures only, no written directions, but once you figure out the process it worked quite well. I opened all the parts and put them in individually marked bowels and laid out the pieces in numerical order. You do have to pay attention to every detail in the illustrations. I took my time and only made 2 mistakes I had to correct. Everything fit perfect and the holes were drilled exactly where they needed to be. The only piece that required 2 people was placing the top on. The doors seemed to not fit at first but once I figured out there were 2 different adjustment screws I finally got them working perfectly. My end tables and coffee table are walnut but there isn't a TV table available with their design. I had hoped this would look ok and it surpassed my expectations. It also was packed VERY well.
