There are many reasons I picked this media unit and they were all met. The navy blue is very nice if you like a pop of color in your space. The options to change the colors of the lighting is fun. I bought this item for my teen daughter. To give her a fun setting to hang out with her friends, however, I like it a lot as well. As a resident of Texas, cold weather is usually not an issue. We had a freeze a few years ago, the heater in this unit would have come in handy. The instructions state the room size it can heat. I haven’t tested it long enough to heat a room (again Texas), but just turning it on to test the heat function worked great. Our room size is 14 x 12.5 and the size of the cabinet is perfect. The shelves are adjustable if you have taller electronics or decorations. We have a few (probably older) DVD players that would not fit on the shelf due to the width (left to right). Inside lighted shelf is approx. 16.25 inches wide. Wider electronics can sit on the top. The instructions are simple, but take your time. I had a 17 year old put it together. It took a few hours.
