I was concerned by reviews that described tipping and bending, but bought it anyway. My husband assembled it by himself in less than 20 minutes. We have it in our den and are fighting over who gets to sit in it! I am 123 lbs, he is 185. No problems so far. It is so heavy that I can’t imagine it bending, but I will report back if it does. The base is wide and stable. We put felt pads under it to protect the floors. Extremely stable, but not meant to be used as a playground-type swing.
