I don't like ordering furniture on line, nevertheless, we could not find a new TV stand locally after our ancient TV fried and our old entertainment center proved too small for the replacement. As I feared, the heavy box came with a damaged corner. Upon opening, four pieces, the larger heaver ones, had one corner each damaged. The box was much to heavy to return so we put the unit together. Fortunately, two of the damaged pieces were on the back edge of the unit. Unfortunately, the other two are on the front.Otherwise the overall quality is better than expected. Many of the pieces use glued wood dowels in addition to wood screws to hold them in place. The glue and all fasteners are supplied, and while not identified in the package, it was easy to determine where they went. The panels are constructed with particle board bonded between two finished pieces of hardboard. Strong and heavy. As is common these days, the instructions are visual - drawings - that required close study as to what goes where and when. You actually build this upside down-yikes! As it turns out, it was pretty easy for the two of us to turn it over. (no way for one) To prevent stripping something, it's best not to use power tools. The finished product looks very good. You can tell it was carefully designed and thought out from the perspective of the assembler. We wanted a natural wood looking unit, but the dark finish actually looks very nice. The advertisement states the largest TV size is 42". I believe its true if you added the optional cabinets to each side. We have a 55" TV that fits nicely without the cabinets. I wouldn't go larger though. The build time is estimated at 60 minutes - Still laughing at that!
