I’ve been using the Body-Solid Three-Tier Horizontal Dumbbell Rack (GDR363) for more than 8 years now (June 2011). The rack was easy to put together. There are no sharp or rough edges on the metal shelves or legs. The one lesson learned having built & using this rack is to use thread locker when assembling. This will keep the nuts & bolts from loosening & falling off the rack. Tight bolts will keep the rack sturdy & prevent it from leaning to either side. The 3 shelves are directly above each other as this is designed to keep the footprint to a minimum. This makes it great for a home gym w/limited space. This does make it a bit more difficult to place & remove heavier weights on the middle & bottom tier than it would be if they were offset at an angle. I am ok w/sacrificing this for keeping the footprint to a minimum.I am storing pairs of 5, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 & 40lbs. I have plenty of room to add another pair of dumbbells, 45 or 50lbs. The rack does not sway or tip when I remove or place any of the weights on the rack. I have confidence this rack will last me another 8 years w/out issue.I can honestly say Body-Solid did a great job designing & manufacturing their Three-Tier Horizontal Dumbbell Rack (GDR363) as an affordable piece of equipment for the home gym. Should you buy one? Yes & some thread locker.
