I received this cage about a week ago, it is for an Amazon parrot, and she is on the small side. This cage is perfect for her, almost looks like I had it made for her. There was some misunderstanding on the delivery date, but I think the carrier was m ore to blame for that. A family member assembled it for me in about 40 minutes. We had read the reviews about some people having a problem setting it up, not so for us, it was quick and easy to assemble. We had all the necessary parts and hardware. It has a nice finish on the steel and is plenty strong enough for my pet. The one thing I would have preferred would be to have plastic dishes rather than stainless steel as I cannot use the dishes in the microwave. I have been on a search to find dishes in the correct size that I can use in the microwave. My parrot was new to me and new to my home the day the cage arrived, and when we opened her travel cage she went right for this cage and seems very content in it. It truly is a good cage for the money for this size parrot, but I don't think it would work at all for a larger bird.
