This is s great stand; very solid and secure. The 2 U-shaped brackets on the uprights hold the bell and the body of the horn very securely. The horn can't slip downward or twist sideways out of the stand. I would feel very confident using this stand with an expensive instrument. I used it with a Low-Eb Bass Clarinet. I have not used the stand with a Low-C Bass Clarinet.Features - The uprights have adjustable friction locks. The taller upright can be extended about 5 inches. This allows you to position the U-support so that it rests against the body rather than the side keys. The shorter support extends about 5 inches. This allows you to raise bell off the ground more in case you have the floor peg extended on the horn. This only works up to a point. If extended too far, the floor peg will hit against the stand or floor and the bell won't seat firmly in the U-support. There are 2 threaded holes for accessory horn pegs. There are big rubber feet on the legs. The stand collapses down to 26.5" L x 6" W x 5" H. The 2 uprights fold down and the 2 adjustable legs fold back.Minor 'cons':1. As noted in other reviews, the stand is a little awkward to carry. I also would recommend some type of bag for carrying.2. If you double on instruments and, more specifically, if you play for shows/musicals, you often have only a quick few measures to switch horns. Grabbing/replacing the Bass Clarinet from this stand is not as quick-and-easy as, for example, grabbing/replacing a sax from a typical sax stand. If you often need to make a quick swap, you might want to consider a different type stand, such as a combination Bassoon/Bass Clarinet stand.Even with these minor 'cons', I am very pleased with the stand and highly recommend it.The order was processed by Amazon and it arrived quickly and in good condition.
