I bought this for small restaurant gigs where I need less gear to haul. This stand is sturdier than I first thought, it handled an 18" med crash as well as my heavier stands and I'm sure it would handle bigger cymbals, but remember, it's still a small stand, so if you have a 22' or 24" on it, it may fall under heavy handed playing. I've since purchased 2 and couldn't be happier with the strength and quality. They fold very small and eliminate the need for a big stand case/bag. I put mine in a small duffel bag with plenty of room to spare. Very satisfied customer.
