I took multiple pictures of the stand and the joints where things connect. Before we can consider the light, it needs to have a solid base that doesn't flex/move.The mounting system is solid and sufficient for this light. It isn't over built, and you should not mount a massive DSLR in the center of the ring - but it holds everything exactly where you place it.The light itself is extremely bright and has a good range of color temps - both controllable with nice-feeling knobs. There is a "power brick" built into the power cable: it's unfortunate you can't use a "normal" cable... but this means that the weight of all the power control bits isn't contained in the light itself. Which is more important.Most importantly the light does operate on standard - issue "Sony-type" batteries!!! Combined with the nice carrying case and the light weight,- you can truly take this anywhere. And removable batteries are preferable: the entire device doesn't die just because the batteries do, and you can bring as many batteries as you like.I have nothing negative to say about this light. It's highly portable, adjustable, and very bright.
