Why you can’t see the base in the photo because it’s that amazing! Takes up no space at all.Just an FYI, make sure your sure where you want it. Because you are not going to want to dig it up!Another tidbit. I used 50 pounds of cement at the bottom. Added water, let set, then filled with dirt. Worked great. Very sturdy!I dug a hole, put it in, and filled it back up (tamping it down as I went). It feels really solid supporting my 12’ cantilever umbrella.I used two 40 pound bags of concrete rather than just refilling with earth. Feels solid.Holds our 7.5' umbrella at ground level wellSolid construction. Great price. Mounting holes are prethreaded and were exactly where needed. The umbrella was easy to mount to the base.Very good , they recommend sand but i feel more comfortable with concrete mixBought the standard water filled base last year for my cantilever umbrella and instantly wished I had done this instead, just did not know this was an option. Base is solid, joiner plate is stainless, have a Jerey umbrella, base fit fine. Filled with gravel, we’ll see how it goesInstallation was not bad. You need an ~9” square hole that is 17” deep.It is important to have the stand level as you fill in with dirt and rock. Tamp down well. Screw on the umbrella base. The base has several holes for mounting the umbrella so it should fit most. Just make sure your umbrella base has compatible hole measurements.
