I really do appreciate this hammock stand, though there was an issue that came up toward the end of the construction that I'll get into later. Overall, I'd say this was a very easy build. I was planning to get out my power tools for making small adjustments and tightening a variety of bolts, but this was incredibly easy to put together. I'd recommend you getting a rachet to help tighten the main bolts as it makes the process o a lot smoother, but for the most part, you can hand-tighten all the pieces and still have a pretty secure build. The pieces are built solid, each portion made out of a pleasantly weighted amount of metal, though every part is hollowed out for interconnectivity. The black color is accurate to the photos and is black on the interior and exterior of all the parts, not just a top coat for appearance's sake. All together, I'd say this took maybe 30 minutes comfortably. I was able to get this done in my backyard, listening to music, working at my own pace and soon was able to relax in the sun on my hammock.Another thing to note is that this exceeds my previous hammock purchase as it allows you to adjust the tautness oof the hammock as you wish. The ends of the hammock have included extension chains that let you raise or lower one or both ends of your hammock to your desired settings. It's not set like most hammock stands, so you don't have to feel like you're too close or high off of the ground. There is also am attachable pouch for holding your phone, tablet, wallet, etc. while outside relaxing, a great feature if you want to keep track of these items without risking them falling off of the hammock while you swing or getting overheated in the sun. Finally, my one complaint. If I've said it once, I've said it a billion times: sellers, when you package screws, nails, etc. for your kits, please, PLEASE include AT LEAST 1 extra set per item. Case in point, this build was going so smoothly. All the pieces were sectioned out accordingly, the instructions were easy to follow, and only upon reaching THE LAST BOLT to install did I realize that the bolt was damaged and no matter what I did, it wouldn't push through and lock into the included wing nut. So, 40+ minutes of searching my house and garage later, I found a replacement bolt and finished the build. Also, why are these bolts so long? I repeatedly scratched my legs when turning the legs over to access the next sections. These could be reduced to 70-75% their current lengths and still hold firm.So yes, outside of that one problem, this was an easy build with easy to follow instructions and solid footing. I do hope the seller will take my, and other concerns I may have missed, into account as I did enjoy putting this together and do praise the simplicity of the design and structural integrity.
