I have a camper van and i created a tri-fold bed system so a bench can convert to a lounge chair or even a full bed. So i use 2 sets of these legs to accomplish that. 1 set i needed to be 16 inches in height and since this is 17 inches minimum, i was able to open it and cut an inch off from the inside and still works great. Provides solid footing and an easy removable leg solution so i can fold the bed up and store the legs, while leaving the "mount" still attached to the bed frame. So overall, turned out great and as i wanted. This stuff is bulky and heavy but not a problem especially since you want it to hold decent weight.
