i have a few 1.2 lb lightweight usb external monitors i like to use along with my main monitors. i've tried many different types but either the arm doesn't extend much (the straight pole types without elbows), or the minimum weight requirement is too high (allowing for only the highest position). this definitely fits the bill. i was skeptical at first, but after turning the adjustment screw many times over, it actually was detensioned enough to hold a 1.2 lb monitor.the clamp is better than most, arm design is simple and robust, seems to be made out of sturdy materials.the flaw i mention in the title is due to where the VESA plate attaches to the arm- it's just not stable, meaning there's a bit of play. it's really unfortunate, but most of the sub-$100 arms seems to be like this. so although not perfect, still giving it 5 stars.really don't care for the usb ports at the front as if i need more ports, i'd rather get a dedicated unit for it, and not try to have my monitor arm do too much. actually i think it cheapens the look a bit by trying to do too much.i also don't dig the logo on the clamp much. i generally do not like logos on products but this logo isn't very aethetic. if this product proves worthy to keep after 30 days without issues, i'll be looking to erase the logo off.otherwise, seems to be a very nice product, and so far worth the premium
