I purchased this for upcoming heel surgery (minimum 10 weeks no weight bearing on my dominant foot) and I need a sturdy toilet that will give me my independence and privacy in the bathroom. I am on the larger side and tall, and this fits the bill. The seat is smooth and comfortable and this model has padded armrests/handles and also the back bar is padded, not bare metal as pictured. I had purchased a commode from another website with NO SPLASH GUARD and that was a deal breaker for me so it is getting returned. Our commode is low profile so I needed the height this one provides with that splash guard. The bucket is in the box, in the basement, since this is for over the toilet use, not bedside. I believe this will prove to be money well spent!!
