I started tufting about 10 weeks ago. I am retired, so that means I can spend a lot of time and too much money on things that I find satisfying. I am outgrowing my first frame, but not yet skilled enough for the really big frame that I already have. This is perfect in lots of ways:1. I had no trouble putting it together without help.2. It’s really light, so I can easily move it.3. It’s exactly the right width for my supply of cloth. I had a lot of wastage with the smaller frame.4. The fabric is TIGHT when stretched. You can see in the pic how I wrapped it around the sides before attaching it. It took more time than with carpet tack strips, so it is so worth it. No tearing no matter how tight you go.5. It comes with way more fasteners than you could use at one time and that’s great insurance for when the dog snatches one.6. The height is adjustable, the width is not. Too bad, that would be extra wonderful.7. It comes with everything you need, but I wished I hadn’t lost my socket wrench.8. No little spikes to avoid or to tear your fabric.9. The price seems fair, based on quality, great design and comparison to other frames you can buy.Improvements on my wishlist:1. Include more pieces for flexibility in dimensions. Like a great big Lego set.2. Include an extra cross beam for the base. That’s about it. I will probably use this one instead of my smaller one.
