I shoot very simple videos as part of work and it has become clear that the overall quality was suffering more than we wanted. After a lot of experimentation, it was pretty clear the primary problem was lighting. We want to keep our video production very simple and low cost. So, I did a lot of searching until I found this kit. It's exactly what we needed. Now, if I were a full-blown professional, I'm sure I'd have a lot more critical things to say about this kit. However, as a very intentionally simplistic amateur, I'm very pleased with this kit. It gives me exactly what I need. The lights offer the right level of control, brightness and temperature. They fit will with the small tripods, which work extremely well in the desktop environment we're using them in. The batteries charged nicely, fit exactly in the lights and everything was simple to set up right out of the box, no real instructions necessary. The only negative thing I'll put in here is that the cover on the back of the lights that's supposed to hold the batter in place doesn't. The battery stays in because I push it against it's pins (and that's a little fiddly) but the holder that is supposed to fit over the battery just doesn't. The battery falls right through it if I didn't mount it correctly. It's really the only negative thing I've encountered using these lights to record videos.
