after researching and reading review about this and similar kayak stabilizers, and the price usually being near $250, I was REALLLLL hesitant to buy one. I bought one because of some night type activities I Will be using my kayak for. I was needing for stability and to give me confidence in standing on my kayak at 69yrs young. The main thing I read was how terrible the directions were and how once it was together it still wiggled alot!!! Well, Im here to tell you that both of those are simply not true if you have a bit of inventiveness in you. The directions..... open the directions, and then find you a youtube to follow step by step on how to do it. anything the youtuber leaves out, can be easily found or deciphered in the directions.next, stability. When I got mine up, first thing I did was wiggle it to see, yes, it had some wiggle. what the problem was/was there was a space between the inside edge of the conectors on your T rack and the male fitting that does inside it to be penned. to solve the problem, i simply got me some 3/4" stainless washers with a quarter inch hole and pressed it inbetween the connection. WORKED LIKE A CHARM.you can take it off the yak very quickly and stow away back in the bag, or while on the water, unpen the back to standards and lay the unit down on the front of the yak, snap them to the front legs and go back to fishing.IM SO GLAD I BOUGHT THESE.recently went fishing with a friend, he saw mine and basically said the same story of why he had not bought one. Im just going to let him try mine for a day, and he will soon be buying one too!! great invention, quality product in my opinon....
