Great product! I'm a vintage drum nut, and, as a dedicated Ludwig user, I always try to stick with the era-appropriate hardware for the kits I play professionally. However, a couple years back I needed some extra hardware so I could leave multiple kits setup for some overlapping gig dates. I found two of Gibraltar's flat-base cymbal stands for cheap on eBay and decided to try them out. I love them! Just the right vintage look, but with all the modern features one might wish for. So, when I needed a new snare stand a few weeks ago, I consulted with a couple peers, then decided I would go for Gibraltar's flat-base version. I couldn't be happier! More stable than Ludwig's version IMHO, and half the price. I'll be upgrading one of my hi-hat stands this Summer, and am looking forward to test-driving Gibraltar's offering!
