The sleeves were 2 inches too short and also too narow for the arms of a man with a 56" barrel chest. The fit around the upper chest and shoulders too tight. I could not raise my elbows to shoulder level and then trust them forward as it would have ripped the jacket open. But the tailors did work from my dimmensions. So can we try again? Add 2 inches to the arm length, increase the diameter of the sleeves by 2 inches and add four inches to the overall width at the shoulders. Also I noticed that when I hold the jacket up to the light I can clearly see the sun streaming through the weave. The wool weave must be tight, as tight as a wool sports jacket for the North American market.
