I felt especially convinced of the need to write this review, in light of the negative reviews I've seen of this hammock stand. As a disclaimer, let me say that I am using this stand indoors (and so cannot comment on weather resistance), and I am using a hammock that I purchased separately. Furthermore, I made a modification to the stand that increases its hanging height (so that I could use a Brazilian-style hammock). The five stars, then, are mostly for service, assembly, and sturdiness. I'll address some concerns in no particular order.1.) It came with instructions in the box. Just one page front and back, but you won't need anything more. The seller deserves some credit for responding to customer feedback in this regard.2.) It comes with "tools", but your assembly will go much smoother if you have a ratchet and socket set. All the hardware I needed was there, with extra nuts and washers.3.) The bolt holes are aligned; but a rubber mallet will go a LONG way in getting the bolts through properly. Keep the assembly loose until all bolts are in place, then tighten them.4.) You will need a hammock that has spreader bars. Brazilian hammocks are designed to sag a lot, and need much higher hitch points.5.) The box shipped quickly (Amazon Prime here), and is small enough and light enough not to require special delivery or pick-up.6.) I didn't find it too difficult to assemble by myself (I'm a scrawny 6'2" 29 yo male, if it helps.)Looks great. Feels very sturdy. Holds a hammock.
