Do not do business with this company. I ordered a 6 inch cake plate, only to realize it was too small when I did receive it. My mistake, but when I tried to exchange it for the 9 inch cake plate, which I really wanted, I was charged a $15 restocking fee! This is an expensive item in the first place, but not worth a $15 rip off for an exchange.A muffin with the lid on wouldn’t fit, possibly one slice of cake. Didn’t fit my need, loved the smoothness that appeared in pics, but wasn’t anything special once arrived. The lid definitely needs a little more height to it, unless your using it for cookies or something else like Cinderella s mice.This is a beautiful piece, arrived in perfect condition, very carefully packaged.It is heavy but not overly heavy for what it is, the dome is clear and on the lighter side with no bubbles and the stand is a very pretty medium jade color to my eye.I ordered the 10" but in having it in front of me even with the generous height of the cake dome I think it might touch the sides of any frosted cakes I make with a 9" cake pan. It should be plenty big for cakes made with 8" cake pans. I opted to keep it but I may end up getting the 12" with dome as well.. if I can find it.If you are going to purchase this item, you must know the condition it will come in.1. There are two visible lines going down the column of the base on either side. (See pic)2. The glass dome may have bubbles in it. (See pic)3. The glass dome may have a bump on the rim. (See pic)4. It is not a milky white as the description indicates; it is a WHITE-white.5. In my opinion, because of the above conditions, it looks cheap and not worth the $90 I paid.6. If you buy it and want to send it back, seller communication is cold and they will claim they already told you about the above conditions and charge you a 15% restocking fee and you will pay to send it back. (See screenshot of said communications.)6. From 10ft, the cake stand might appear bright and pretty.My aim is to let people know what they are getting into when they purchase this item.Love it. Beautiful, makes my baked goods look very special. Came very well packaged. The blown glass cover is also lovely. Color is perfect.
