Very sturdy and well made. I would have given it 5 stars except for the poor packaging causing paint to be rubbed off and the bolts were scattered throughout the box. They are not really needed but there were no instructions in the box.Update: After using this stand for awhile now I am extremely pleased with it. I remains very sturdy and although I keep it in a workshop/shed, it shows no signs of rust. I disagree with all the one star reviews and would recommend this to anyone with a mini or midi lathe.
