If you have 4-5 hours to assemble a deer stand, this is the one for you. If not, read on.1. My friend and I have so far spent a little over 4 hours assembling this stand and we don't even have it installed yet. It's at least a two person job. This is not a "quick and easy" assembly.2. Instructions are poorly written and drawings are difficult to use:The drawings have many segmented lines that are hard to follow with some really small print. I think there are a total of over 26 steps for assembly and installation.3. The holes in the metal tubing are punched (not drilled) and many do not line up. Because the holes are punched, some of the holes have metal debris ("hanging chads") that block the screws from going all the way through the holes. My friend and I had to drill out some of the holes to get pieces to fit.4. The screws, nuts, and nylon washers are cheap. The nylon washers deform when screws are tightened. This causes the screw heads (and sometimes the nuts) to become recessed into the nylon washer, preventing a good "purchase" with your wrench or socket.5. The metal tubing which makes up the frames of the stand are not uniformly bent to fit into one another. My friend and I had to use a 4 pound sledge to persuade them to fit together.6. Because the metal tubing is bent, we had to use a C clamp to get the seat and the frame to come together. We had to do this to get enough thread exposure on the screws to tighten the nuts.7. We had to use a pipe wrench to move the bottom seat supports into place. We followed the manual instructions but because of the tension on the fabric seat a pipe wrench was required for leverage.8. Extra tools required for the job:-Sledge hammer-Drill-Pipe wrench-At least 1 C clamp9. We have not yet installed the stand in the woods but the instructions say that at least 4 people may be required.10. My friend and I have assembled and installed many tree stands. This one is by far the most difficult we have ever encountered.
