This rolling, elevated garden bed is even better than I expected! In person, it looks so expensive and is bigger than I had perceived on-line. The assembly was simple (see below for UPDATE)- though I had to use a drill which is not my strong suit. Each piece was labeled - including the different size screws which was so helpful. After I put it together, I put some butcher block oil on it because the wood was a little dry and think it could help it last a little longer in my dry climate. I bought this as a gift for a chef and cannot wait to deliver it! I am going to order a couple more to put together as birthday presents! It is an awesome value and SO COOL!!! I hope my photos can do it justice! Highly recommend!***I DID get THREE more! After putting together now four of these, I have learned a few things! (1) It looks gorgeous painted if you have interest! (See photo); (2) the quality - in terms of the precision when pre-drilling holes - varied. For example on one, the predrilled holes were imprecise on the slats for the shelf below the planter. Another example was on two planters, when attempting to install one of the "reinforcing bolts with a barrel nut" we ended up causing a piece of wood to flake off which worked out well on both of them because it enabled us to drill our own hole that was properly aligned; and finally, (3) when it comes to putting things together, I am generally incompetent so when - after lots of mistakes that caused me to take pieces of the planter apart and re-do, yet I was able to figure it out - I originally described the assembly as "simple". On the last three I assembled, I had a handy-man friend come over and he advised that the directions do not help distinguish each part from similar looking parts. This is important because it is very easy to use the wrong part and not notice a small difference even existed until suddenly something doesn't work and you have to take it apart and start over. So even with a handy-man supervising me - I told him I wanted to avoid mistakes but to let me assemble it and put the screws in, etc. it still took me an hour and a half to finish my fourth planter. By my fourth. I understood how everything fit together and which size screws go where - and still - it took me an hour and a half! So, that is my update on "simple". It is doable but takes a little time so have patience. It is SO worth it! With all of this additional wisdom, I still HIGHLY recommend this product and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! Amazing value and so beautiful! PS- the photo of the planter I painted is of it on its side because we are letting the glue set overnight on the repair needed from installing the "reinforcing bolt with a barrel nut" which, again, resulted in a wood chip coming off- though again - was helpful so we could create our hole that was aligned.
