Edmunds Stitchers Wonder Stand. Well made. Easy to assemble, no tools needed. Wood is smooth and bare finished, meaning it needs little or no sanding, you can use it as is or stain/paint if you like. I wanted one of these for many years so I could work with both hands instead of always using one for holding my work. After just a couple hours I got the hang of things and could stitch faster than before. There is one problem with this particular stand sold as it is: it cannot hold any other hoops or frames except the one that came with it. There are two ways around this. 1) Drill mounting holes thru any frames/hoops you already have to fit the screws on the stand's yoke. This would work fine for any scroll frames I've ever seen. 2) Get these adapter clamps, they attach in place of the frame that came with it, then you can use almost any size frame/hoop in the clamps. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IA8VX14?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_detailsWith the added clamps, this is a serious and useful piece of needlework equipment. I can sit comfortably on the couch, adjust the stand where I want it and stitch away. It holds my largest hoop (18") or my largest scroll frame (22" wide). It may hold larger frames but that's my largest. The clamps make it super easy to swap when I want to change projects. Without the clamps, you will need to undo 2 screw knobs, unthread them from the yoke, then reverse the process with the modified frame of your choice. It can be done but the clamps are an inexpensive solution to monkeying around.I've been doing needlework for 45 years. I am sorry I didn't get this sooner.
