This unit is very sturdy. I really like how it looks in our family room. Putting it together was relatively easy - there are step by step directions in the form of pictures. I thought I followed them explicitly, but experienced a couple of hiccups. One particular issue was that one set of screws were provided, but by the end, another set of 4 were needed based on the instructions. Per the information provided, I emailed the company with my conundrum, requesting 4 more screws. I have yet to hear back from them. I found 4 screws here at the house I was able to use.I love putting things like this together. It took me about 2-1/2 days to complete by myself. I really enjoyed it, and we are pleased with the outcome.
