I just moved to a beautiful Craftsman building in a new city and the big indulgence that I wanted to give myself was to set up a real home theatre set up. I found a spectacular 75" Samsung 4K television......and then realized that I was going to need something to put it on. As I mentioned, my apartment is in a 1900 Craftsman building and a lot of my furniture is original Craftsman so I wanted something that wouldn't clash with my existing furniture and also would look good in the apartment itself. Another consideration is that this 75" TV is heavy, with a large glass screen and I needed a piece of furniture that I wouldn't be worried about in terms of holding up to the weight.Every review and the videos on the page all warned me that you needed more than one person to assemble this piece. Well, guess what: in the real world, sometimes you have to set up stuff on your own (my 21 lb Dachshund was an enthusiastic but useless helper). It took me about an hour to set it up. Yes, the size of the piece made it challenging to assemble on my own but it was doable. The instructions were clear and I have good tools. This console fit all the bills. It's smartly designed and strong, the legs at the base are matte black painted steel with a center foot and are securely mounted to the base of the cabinet. The two cabinets with doors are spacious and well designed, there is a central space that includes a tempered glass shelf (which I decided not to use and mounted LED display lights instead). It looks great in the room and when I'm watching a film, it disappears (which is what you want in a furniture component of a home theatre). I trust that it's strong enough to hold up my screen and it displays the art that lives in its center section beautifully.Very happy with this console and would happily recommend it to anyone who has similar needs/requirements!
