Only needed the stands, and these were seemingly the best bang/buck since you can always use more cables. I wasn't expecting much at this price point but the stands are still slightly crappier than expected. Way too many important things are cheap plastic to trust these to more than lightweight passives. I don't think these would survive cold temperatures. For my peavey PR12s indoors, they're fine. They'd be acceptable-good at this price if the rest of the bundle wasn't absolute garbage. If I paid $50-60 for just the stands, I'd easily give them 4 stars. The bag feels like it could rip under its own weight empty and the stands barely fit inside. The cables? HORRIBLE. I would never buy onstage cables, and I doubt anyone else would either if given the choice. So in my theory that's probably why they're bundled. They gotta get rid of them. But for these clearly $20-30 stands with a grocery store checkout counter quality bag in an $80 bundle, they're not "free" cables so I'll happily complain about them.1 of the 1/4" didn't work out of the box. I don't care enough to try to fix it. The other works, but is very noisy and crackles if you wiggle any part of the cable. Uselessly short, useless in general. Just garbage. Also, they're INSTRUMENT cables. Why would you bundle instrument cables with speaker stands? Some people buying may not know this. Do not use instrument cables on speakers ever. This is extremely important. The XLRs are marginally better as far as noise goes and don't have the crackle problem, but the male plugs don't seem to want to fit smoothly in anything except the female end of the same cable. You kinda have to force them in anything else. That's how you break stuff. As an added bonus, one of the cables cuts in and out when using phantom power. If you buy this bundle, seriously just throw these cables away rather than risk breaking other equipment.Long story short, don't think of this as a bargain stage bundle. Think of it as paying $80 for 2 ok stands and a bunch of extra useless crap, and compare to other stands accordingly.
