At first, I thought the box it came in was going to be a lot smaller than what it was. You may need help moving it as it's a little bulky & heavy to do yourself. But besides that, it has the tools to assemble it yourself if you follow the directions. I applied a 12' hammock and the included multiple chain links really give you control as to how taunt or loose you would like it to be.I did notice, however, that after a few weeks, I could hear it creaking whenever I got in. Going over the nuts & bolts to retighten them solved it instantly so just be prepared to do this after a short while as it settles and flexes from regular use. I don't feel it deminishes the value and it's fairly typical of something made of wood when assembled & flexed in this manner.I really appreciated the inclusion of the plastic nut & bolt covers for safety. I don't really care, but some might want caps that match the wood better. The wood is beautiful and I never feel it may not hold my 220 lb butt, lol. I actually use this as my bed in my bedroom. Thankfully I have a room that can accommodate such a long piece of furtiture! Overall I'm super happy with it! ?
