Easy to set up and extremely solid once assembled. You can really rock out hard on this unit and it stays rigid, even for the upper deck. I wanted this stand as a home unit and it's perfect. I have a separate X-style rack which is better as a travel unit, but definitely not as solid if you want a fixed/home unit. For your home studio, this is the sort of unit that represents great bang for buck, and the solid base you need for playing hard.
