Key word is *recycled*. This is truly recycled wood. Reminds me of wood that came from old pallets. I was expecting the light colored wood in the picture. But as you can see in my pics that there will be variations in the colors. It’s not the best made; staples are visible, there are knots, and imperfections. Mine arrived with a piece that fell off the smallest one that I had to hammer back in. If you want a polished furniture piece, this isn’t the one for you. If you want a farmhouse, rustic looking piece, this could do it. But for what I paid for it, I expected more. It seems like I can put this together myself. One last thing: I wish it had pads for the bottoms to protect my wood hardwood. I’ll have to add them but they are easy to lift so it isn’t the biggest deal. I’m pretty easy going so I’ll live with this purchase. When I put it out it didn’t look horrible. I’m okay with DIY so I might spruce them up a bit. But if you are very particular, you might not be happy with this product.
