The product picture is misleading. The picture makes it look like there are two paddles. This is for ONE paddle. I believe the picture is the front and back of the paddle area. As far as two piece, this does NOT break down to a smaller size. You can adjust the length of the paddle at the handle to be longer, but there is no way to make the actual paddle length shorter.
