Used for a week travelling, this CF tripod trimmed 2 pounds off my kit replacing the venerable Manfrotto 3221W. Small enough to pack in a medium checked bag, sturdy enough for a gimbal and 200-600 zoom, light enough to carry for miles. Large grippy lock nuts are easy to set securely (but always check!). Features are nice, the carry bag is fantastic, bowl levelling is quick and secure with a handle design that allows hanging bag/weight, the magic arm will come in handy at some point I'm sure. Tall max height worked well for overhead shots. The detachable leg monopod feature was great for flexibility. Two notes, the long monopod mount plate screw interferes with the second leg segment so this needs to be slightly extended to attach the plate, and the perimeter of the plate has some unbroken razor sharp edges, a manufacturing oversight. Three or four curious nicks before I used a nail file to break the edges myself. Spike feet are sealed, but after some productive time at a windy beach a few joints will need cleaning. In heavy wind the large leg diameter was more than apparent. I can't compare with other similar units or comment long term durability, but the ARTCISE HS80C suits my needs very well.
